What is the Wildcat eFolio?
The Wildcat eFolio system, supported through a generous grant from the UA Parents and Family Association, is your personal on-line database to document your academic, internship and other related experiences while attending the University of Arizona in a clear, professional, organized format that can be shared with potential employers.
Why create an e-portfolio?
Wildcat eFolio provides a unique on-line resource for you to chart your academic skills and leadership development throughout your attendance at The University of Arizona. The system allows you to record and evaluate the skills you gained both in and out of the classroom, and then share those accomplishments with potential employers and graduate school.
What are the benefits?
Wildcat eFolio complements your professional resume and academic transcript. It allows you to chart your involvement in and out of the classroom; additionally, mapping your academic and co-curricular achievements will give you an opportunity to assess and reflect upon your personal growth, explore new experiences, and set future goals that you hope to achieve.
eFolio also provides an opportunity for you to share with potential graduate schools and employers a more holistic and organized e-portfolio that incorporates your experiences beyond the classroom, giving you a cutting edge over other candidates. You have immediate access to your e-portfolios anytime and anywhere in the world (with internet access) so that you can share your most current e-portfolios with potential employers and graduate schools.
Additionally, as an archive tool, eFolio will be with you beyond your academic tenure at the University of Arizona and will be an excellent resource to you as an alum. Your e-portfolio allows you to highlight your communication, creativity, critical thinking, leadership, social responsibility, teamwork, technical/scientific, and social networking skills. You can include your academic work, membership/involvement with clubs and organizations, community service activities, internships, volunteer work, international experiences and any other relevant accomplishments you wish to share with potential graduate schools and employers or archive for personal reference.
