The University of Arizona Career Services Career Development Certificate Program gives you a flexible game-plan for exploring, creating and implementing your career plans. The Certificate Program is designed to assist you in exploring your interests, values, and skills, in exploring career fields and making career decisions. The Certificate Program will also assist you with preparing for and conducting a search for either an internship or permanent post-graduation position and/or preparing for and applying to graduate/professional school. The Certificate Program uses a variety of resources to assist you including, online technology, one-on-one counseling and presentations on a variety of career topics.

• You have the opportunity to work through a modular program that assists you in solidifying your career plans.
• You will receive a certificate upon completion of the Program, although it is not reflected on your University of Arizona transcript. Completing the Certificate demonstrates to employers or graduate schools your seriousness about your future career.
• The Career Development Certificate Program needs to be completed prior to graduation, but the Certificate can be earned in two years or less.
• The requirements are simple and give you the flexibility of choosing the pieces that best fit your career development needs.
• The modules can be completed in any order, although Career Services recommends that you start with Exploring Interests and Creating a Career Plan.
• This Career Development Workbook has career information, career exercises, a career planning guide and a checklist of all of the Certificate modules.
• You'll be able to track your progress within the workbook as you complete your modules.

Requirements for Completion:

• Create a personalized career plan -- in the workbook
• Create a Career Services approved resume (module two)
• In addition to completing the required modules one and two, you will need to select and complete four of the additional modules from the eight listed below.
