Career Services offers these information-packed, 50-minute career seminars FREE to UA students and alumni. ALL seminars are held in the Career Services Workshop Room in the Student Union Memorial Center, Suite 411.  The seminar schedule is subject to change. Please check the  Career Services Calendar for the most up-to-date seminar schedule.

You are encouraged to RSVP for seminars and we will send you an email reminder.  Unless otherwise noted below, RSVPs are recommended but not required.  Walk-ins are always welcome!

Workshops Mock Interview

Mock Interview Events are offered to help you practice your interviewing skills. Half hour practice interviews are conducted by employers and professional staff to allow students an opportunity to try out their interviewing skills and receive constructive feedback on how they might improve. Prior sign-up is required - you may sign up in person by giving a copy of your resume to the Career Services receptionist in SUMC411 beginning Monday, January 11, 2010 for the Friday, February 5, 2010 event. Mock interview appointments are also available all year round by scheduling an individual career counseling appointment (call 520.621.2588).

Workshops Federal Employment

The U.S. Federal Government can be a rich source of career experience no matter what your field of interest or major. Thousands of positions deemed 'mission critical' will need to be filled in the coming years. Unfortunately, many students are missing out on openings that might be a perfect match for their skills and interests due to lack of awareness about government jobs and how best to navigate the federal applications process. These seminars will help you to discover how you can find your ideal internship or full-time position with the Federal Government.

 

“Federal Employment Uncovered” will give you the basics of federal employment, opportunities and benefits.
