Gear-Up for Fall 2009!

What should I do in preparation for CAMPUS INTERVIEWING next Fall semester?

At a minimum, after grades are posted for this semester, ALL continuing students need to update their Wildcat JobLink profile and resume with any changes (GPA, address, phone, etc.). Beyond that, find your scenario below for further instructions:

My expected graduation date is December 2009, May 2010 or August 2010 and...

*I am currently registered for Campus Interviewing:

In this case you are eligible to interview for both internships AND full-time professional positions. Drop by the Career Services office and pay the one-time, non-refundable $25 program fee. If you have already paid the one-time fee before, then you do not need to do it again. Staff will activate your account so that you have access to both internships and full-time professional interviews at the time we receive the program fee.

*I am NOT currently registered for Campus Interviewing:

In this case you are eligible to interview for both internships AND full-time professional positions. Since you are not currently registered, the first thing you must do is complete the online Campus Interviewing Orientation (available in August, 2009). After completing the online orientation, stop by the Career Services office and pay the one-time, non-refundable $25 program fee. Staff will activate your account so that you have access to both internships and full-time professional interviews.

Recent alumni are eligible to participate in Campus Interviewing for up to two calendar years post-graduation. There is a non-refundable $50 program fee per year. CLICK HERE to access the alumni Campus Interviewing orientation.

BUT I HAVE A NO-SHOW!!!

There are currently still a few students with unresolved "no-shows" in Campus Interviewing. When you have a "no-show" you are immediately blocked from the Campus Interviewing section of the Wildcat JobLink system. You must take care of your no-shows before you will be unblocked. Procedures for dealing with no-shows are detailed in the Job Search Guide 2008-2009 that you were given at the time you registered. After you take care of the no-show situation, then you can follow the steps above for next Fall.

CAMPUS INTERVIEWING

Get interview feedback

Have you had three (3) or more campus interviews? Then you may have interview feedback waiting for you under "My Account" on the Career Services Web site. You will see the "My Account" link at the top of each webpage ONLY AFTER YOU LOGIN with your UA NetID and password.

No, you will not get specific comments from each recruiter, but you WILL get a compilation of what all of the interviewers thought of your performance overall. This information can help you focus on your interviewing strengths and weaknesses for future interviews.

NOTE: If you DID have three (3) interviews, but there is no feedback listed under "My Account", that means that one or more of the recruiters you interviewed with chose not to fill-out an evaluation. You need at least three (3) of them to have completed evaluations before your summary results will appear.
