What is it?
Lumberjacks, Devils and Wildcats are invited to attend the 2nd Annual just-in-time career mixer. The event is tailored for students and alumni of Arizona’s three fine state institutions and the companies that are interested in keeping local talent local.
Hosted by UA Career Services in partnership with the UA Alumni Association, Arizona’s Career Mixer meets both reality and demand. The reality:
- Many students wait until after graduation to job search
- The average job seeker only stays in a position for three years
- Demand that most companies operate on is a just-in-time hiring cycle, often unable to project their hiring needs months in advance.
Consider the benefit of having all three state universities' talent in one room promoting networking not only with hiring companies, but with the alumni and students from all three of Arizona's state institutions? We’re connecting the best.

Format
This is a mixer format (not your traditional career fair format/venue) with the focus on personal interaction and small group conversation. Each employer will host a high-top table with limited room for promotional material. The format of Arizona's Career Mixer will promote meaningful conversation between job seekers and potential employers. We encourage business card and resume exchange.
We encourage you to research the registered employers list. Suggested attire is "best business" (respecting Phoenix's summer heat).

Date, Place & Time
Wednesday, May 29th, from 4:30 – 7:30PM at the Virginia G. Piper Auditorium at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, which is located at 600 E. Van Buren, Building 2.
Parking
Attendees are responsible for parking arrangements and fees. Free Event Parking is available on a first-come availability basis at the Children's Museum of Phoenix in the historic Monroe School Building at 215 N. 7th Street, on the SE corner of 7th Street and Van Buren. In addition, there are several lots and metered parking spaces in the area surrounding the venue. Check out our map for more details.
2013 Costs
Free to students and alumni of UA, ASU and NAU. We ask current students to provide their school ID at check in.
Registration
Pre-registration for students and alumni is not required for this event. Need some prep work to prepare your resume before tackling the Phoenix Mixer? We have walk-in office hours where you can meet for a resume review with a career counselor. If you are not in Tucson, you can work with a career counselor via i-Chat.
