Career Services offers these information-packed, 50-minute career seminars FREE to UA students and alumni. ALL seminars are held in the Career Services Workshop Room in the Student Union Memorial Center, Suite 411. The seminar schedule is subject to change. Please check the Career Services Calendar for the most up-to-date seminar schedule.

Mastering The Federal Application Process

The U.S. Federal Government can be a rich source of career experience no matter what your field of interest or major. Many students are missing out on openings that might be a perfect match for their skills and interests due to lack of awareness about government jobs and how best to navigate the federal applications process "Mastering the Federal Application Process" will offer the tools to understand and effectively maneuver the federal employment process.

Mock Interview Event

Mock interviews will be offered on Friday February 1, 2013 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Prior sign up is required - beginning on Monday January 7, 2013, please stop by the Career Services office with a copy of your resume to sign up for a mock interview on Februrary 1, 2013.

As always, mock interviews may also be scheduled through counseling appointments all year.

Interviewing for Jobs and Internships

Learn what to expect and how to prepare for an interview so that you can answer interview questions with ease. Please join us! No prior sign-up required.

Interviewing for Graduate or Professional School Admissions

This seminar will focus on strategies for preparing for admissions interviews for graduate schools and professional programs.

Panel/Mixer Events

Panelists from a designated industry share information on their career path including the steps taken to enter their profession and develop their career in their current organization. Panelists discuss trends in their field, critical skills needed and ways to develop those skills further, as well as provide advice on professional development, networking, resumes and how to maximize interviews for career success. A networking session after the panel will offer students an opportunity to connect directly with employers in attendance.  RSVP Required.
