Mathematics: General BA

The knowledge gained from a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics of computer skills, linear algebra, calculus, mathematical reasoning and writing, and differential equations, as well as the BA fourth semester language requirement, provides a strong career foundation. BA graduates of the General/Applied Mathematics concentration acquire familiarity with applied analysis, modeling, probability and statistics, and numerical analysis, in addition to minoring in a subject of interest. This concentration is excellent preparation for work in business, government, research, education, or for graduate studies in mathematics or biostatistics.
