Stop by and chat with Lauren Maghran, your UA recruiter. Ask her about her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic and find out how you can build your resume and still make a difference in the world.

Lauren Maghran is originally from Tucson, AZ and received her BA in Biology from the Cornell University. She served in the Dominican Republic from 2010-2012 as Community Environmental Volunteer working on a sustainable fisheries project and community development. She worked with local people in the eastern part of the country to develop sustainable environmental practices including latrines, tree planting, environmental education and how to protect water resources.  She also worked with a women's group to make and market jewelry made out of seeds, coconut shells and other local materials.

Lauren is currently a Peace Corps Fellow and Masters student in the Natural Resouces department.. She would like to continue to work with communities and small businesses on economically sustainable environmental projects.
