Overview
Career Services offers the Wildcat Student Employment Fair to provide students and University departments a simple and timely way to connect for campus jobs. For the first time ever this year, we are inviting local businesses to attend this event. More opportunities for students than ever before!
Highlights of This Year's Fair
  • Held centrally on campus in the Student Union Memorial Center Grand North Ballroom, the Fair will provide students with timely information about job opportunities on campus.
  • Students can gain information on how to use Wildcat JobLink, the online job listing service for campus and beyond.
  • Prior to the fair, students can access the list of participating departments and local businesses.
  • Students, Campus departments and local businesses will have the opportunity to interact face-to-face.
  • We encourage campus departments to provide information about any internships in their department. You might be able to find a position on campus related to your major!
Why Work On Campus?
On campus employment is a great way to earn money while attending school. It's convenient, you don't need a car to get here if you're living on campus already and you are close to the library (or even working AT the library) when your shift ends. If you have a vehicle or transportation is not an issue for you, looking at local business opportunities will expand your employment potential while in school.
Still Not Convinced?
You can become an "insider" fast by working on campus and/or getting involved in the local community. You'll get involved and learn more about the campus and community than you ever thought possible. An added bonus if you work in an area that is part of your studies, you can interact with faculty and participate in research projects...and get paid for it. There are often opportunities for advancement in campus jobs and sometimes department discounts are available (i.e. student employees in the Student Union receive half-price meals while they are working). For commuter students, working on campus can help fill those empty blocks of time between classes. Finally, campus employers understand the demands that face students at The University of Arizona. Most departments are willing to work with students around their courses, final exams and holidays/breaks. That’s why you’re called “Student” employees; on-campus employers understand that your role as a student is your top priority! Local businesses are also flexible when hiring students so give them a shot too.
We look forward to seeing you at this year's Wildcat Student Employment Fair!
