Presentations to Student Groups

Career Services staff are available upon request to come to present to a variety of student group (class, club meeting, organization, etc.).  

Topics

We conduct presentations on a wide variety of topics including:

  • Planning A Career *
  • Resume Writing *
  • Interviewing Effectively *
  • How to Obtain an Internship *
  • Conducting A Job Search *
  • Planning for Graduate School *
  • Preparing for a Career Fair

 

Any of these topics can be targeted to your specific major or career field.  You may also request a presentation related to career planning and job search appropriate for your group.

We appreciate receiving requests at least 2 weeks in advance and will try to accommodate all requests depending on our staff availability. We have a workshop room in Career Services that can accommodate groups up to 40 people or we can arrange to meet at your location. 

Evening Topics

Evening presentations are available Monday through Thursday only, depending on staff availabilty.  A requested evening presentation must start no later that 6:00 PM and end no later than 7:00 PM .  Please give two weeks advance notice.  Evening presentations are only available on the topics indicated by an asterik ( * ) on the list above.
