SBS 311 – Design Your Life
Learn how design thinking can help you explore your life and career opportunities in this one-unit course. You'll develop a plan for engagement and skill-building experiences that will allow you to test your ideas for a life plan that integrates work and personal values. Fall 2020 Session I and II.
SBS 411 – Design Your Search
Design a personal plan for searching for a job or internship. You'll gain knowledge about timelines, resources, and expectations of a successful search and reflect on how your personal skills have value in your desired career path. You should take this course when you are in an active search for a job or internship. Offered online during Fall 2020 Session I and II.
This was a great one credit course. The assignments were perfect practice for job searching and preparation. It was great for someone like me, who studied science where I did not get much of an introduction to this type of information.
Self-Paced Online Program
While you can find generic job or internship help anywhere on the web, Design Your Search will provide you with the tools and personalized support you need to create and execute a successful search. This interactive experience gives you access to online modules in D2L, special events, and an extensive overview of strategies to use throughout your search. You also get personalized coaching with an assigned Career Educator and consistent help from trained peers which means you have specific people to turn to who know your needs and goals and can help answer your questions as it relates to you.
